Saputara — Western Ghats, Dang forests & mist
A small, family-friendly hill town in the lush Dang forests. Best visited in the monsoon (Jul–Sep) when the waterfalls and mist turn the whole valley green. Quiet and laid-back at every other time of year too.

Lake, sunset point, Dang villages
The town wraps around a small artificial lake — rent a paddle boat in the morning mist and you'll come back grinning. Walk up to Sunset Point (450 m above town) for an unfiltered Western-Ghats view. Then visit the Tribal Museum — a low-key but lovely ethnographic museum about the local Bhil, Warli and Gamit tribal communities.
If you have wheels, drive further afield to Waghai with its herbal garden, or to the deeper Dang villages for genuinely off-grid treks. Saputara is also where you can dive into the only paragliding school in Gujarat.
Add Saputara
The one place in Gujarat that looks "hill-station".
